FAQ's Lesson Types and Costs

What types of classes and costs are associated. What age ranges does Neal Music Instruction cater too.

Do you accept only beginners?

Not at all. We have students from 4 years and up. Our students range from beginner to advanced.

Do you offer private lessons only?

Actually, we have both private and group lessons available.

What is the cost of private lessons

  • Beginning students typically start with 30 minutes once a week, at $32.50 per lesson, billed monthly.
  • Intermediate students require 45 minutes
  • Advanced level students need one hour, due to the more demanding and lengthier music
  • Wind instrument students are encouraged to start with 45 minute classes.

What is the cost of group lessons

A great way for those who simply want to try out piano as an introduction, at a lower cost, without a huge initial investment.

There are three age categories: 4-6, 7-13 and adult.

The flexibility is to try out a couple months to completion of four book levels. Whichever works for you, but the end goal is to continue into private lessons as soon as possible.. We use traditional note reading methods (alphabet), so you become fluent in note reading from the very beginning. The tuition is $20 per person for 45 minute sessions.

Piano groups are 3 students. Two students learning together are considered semi-private, and are on a different tuition rate. There maybe a waiting list.

I don't have an instrument yet. Can you help me decide?

Absolutely. Our instructors can advise you and happy too!

I have a raspy voice, or I'm too old to learn to sing

Neither of those are obstacles. Anyone can learn to sing. The secret is finding your vocal range, and doing voice exercises. After all, if Joe Cocker can sing with a raspy voice, so can you.

We have a student who believed he couldn't sing for both of those reasons. He started lessons a few months ago, and sang at our last recital. By the way, he is 66 years old, and not our oldest student
